The MDC-99 President Job Sikhala has called Zimbabweans to shun the Independence Day celebrations on the 18 of April 2012 claiming Zanu PF had monopolized it.

The Media Centre together with the Election Resource Centre facilitated and hosted a public meeting at the Harare club last night to debate on the possibility of a new constitution for Zimbabwe, which has gripped the nation of late.

Youths challenged to participate in elections

Youths have been challenged to meaningfully participate in the forthcoming polls slated for late this year or 2012, if they are to fully realise their opportunities.

Civic groups in Zimbabwe have slammed the state over its continued abuse of the judicial system to persecute civil society leaders noting that there was nothing worthy celebrating.

A media briefing held by Upfumi Kuvadiki, aimed at upraising Zimbabweans turned chaotic as it was rowdily disrupted by members from a rival faction, who described those who had called for  the press briefing as bogus.

A Kwekwe based youth organisation the Zimbabwe Organisation of Youths in Politics (ZOYP) on Monday, the 12th of March 2012 launched the democratization agenda programme for Zimbabwe.
